The End Of The Year

The end of the school year is an awkward time. Especially in sixth grade. It doesn't seem like we're learning anything (I don't mean to complain). Everything tips toward creative stuff, not stuff to memorize or study. At the end of the year is kind of the time when you start letting your creative side out. School is mostly about numbers and white and blank pages. At the end of the year a newer you is seen. The one that can not only add up numbers, but also the side that can mix together music. It's a weird combination I know. It's fun at the end of the year. Waking up in the morning is a little more exciting than before.

In my class we've been pretty busy with the creative side. School isn't about your ability to read a book or multiply numbers anymore, it's also about your ability to make your own comic with a story line, about your ability to mix cool music on garageband. We're having friendly competetions to see which is the better gender overall. I like how school is more creative stuff now, getting jugded on your ability to read black and white is tiring.
Overall I think it's nice that school mixes up these things, to show the undiscovered talents of the underestimated.
